Badala Academy was established in January 2010 by a teacher called, Sheikh Adam Ahmed Muhammmad, who is presently the Vice Principal of Islamic Affairs Section of the School, a Matron, Mu'allimah Salamatu Abdullahi and thirteen pupils, started the school. The school commenced with Nursery Section which focused majorly on memorization of the Glorious Qur'an and Islamic Studies at inception. On the 2nd of October 2012, the primary section of the school fully commenced operations.
